AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
SERVICES ON BEACHES. # . REPORT TO BE PREPARED. ' The Auckland Presbytery met last evening, the moderator,' the Rev. J. Lamb Harvey, presiding. The question of conducting religious services at beaches during the summer was discussed. It was considered there was a definite need and a great opportunity for the services. The matter was referred to the Life and Work Committee to furnish a comprehensive report. The Rev. T. H. Roseveare, reporting on the presbytery's youth work, said it was encouraging to note there were a number of young men intending to train for the ministry. The committee was instructed to keep in touch with' youn'g men and women who had thoughts of entering upon Christian work at home or abroad. The property committee reported the Devonport manse property had been sold for £I6OO, which was £IOO more than expected. The proposed work of the newly-formed officer-bearers' association was briefly outlined by Mr. S. J. Harbutt. The moderator said he hoped the association would speedily become a great help to the church. Mr. T. H. Burton, 8.A., was licensed as a probationer. He was extended a hearty welcome by the moderator and members of the presbytery.
