COURT AWARDS DAMAGES. CASE HEARD AT TE AROHA. [Br TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] 'TE AROHA, Tuesdav. In the Te Aroha Magistrate's Court, today, before Mr. W. <T. Plaits, S.M., John Devey (Mr. G. Gilchrist) sought to recover from Michael O'Donoghus, farmer, Waihou (]\lr. Carroll), the sum of £4O 19s 6d damages caused through a collision between a motor-cycle ridden by plaintiff and a horse-drawn vehicle driven by the defendant. After hearing the evidence of both sides, snd also taking into account the fact of defendant's admission to the police that he .had no lights at the time of the accident, the magistrate gave judgment for plaintiff for £36 2s lid and costs.
