CRIME IN A SHOP.
MURDER AND ROBBERY. RUSE OF THE ASSAILANT. A. and N.Z. Dec. & A shocking crime is reported from Nice, in Italy. A grocer's shop was entered bv a wouldbe customer, who commenced talking with the shopkeepers, whom he enthralled, on the marvels of magnetism. He induced the mother and daughter to allow themselves to be blindfolded and !o await manifestations. This they agreed to do, and. almost instantly the women heard three revolver shots ring out. The daughter tore off the bandage from her eyes arid was horrified to see her mother serious!}' wounded and her father dead. The visitor decamped after iitiiiaoung the till.
