TO-DAY'S WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. PI. M. Vincent last, evening:—Warm and hnmid weather conditions are indicated. Northerly to northeasterly winds, strong to gale. Seas rough. The disturbance of cyclonic character is now operating in the South, stormy weather, with heavy rain, occurring during the week-end in districts southward of New Plymouth. The storm centre is moving gradually northwards, and northern and East Coast districts are expected to be affected shortly, heavy rain, with northerly gales, resulting. Barometer, midnight, 30.10 in.; steady. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Present indications are for northerly winds, strong to gale, backing to southerlies shortly; weather unsettled and squally, with rain generally and with heavy rain in the West Coast districts, with rivers flooded. Barometer falling, but rising everywhere after about 20 hours. RAINFALL RECORD. Fall in City (Herald gauge): 24 hours ended midnight, Dec. 13 .OOin.
