EXPLOSION IN MINE.
MANY MEN IMPRISONED, HEAVY DEATH-ROLL FEARED. A. and N.Z. VANCOUVER, Dec. 9. A serious explosion occurred in a coalmine at Princeton, Indiana, to-dav. The rescuers of the imprisoned miners fear there may be more than ■2O killed. The dead men are being left until all the wounded have been removed. Only half of the 70 men below at the time of the explosion had been brought to the surface by mid-day. Seven men are already known to have lost their lives.
