MOTOR-CYCLE RACING.
MEETING IN FEBRUARY. The Auckland Motor Racing Club met this week, when the programme for tho races to bo held on Takapuna racecourse on February 12, was adopted. A pleasing feature from the riders' point of view is that, while the amount of the prizemoney has been maintained, tho n6mination fees have been reduced.
The programme is as follows: —Novice Handicap, of £7, five miles, open to machines not doing better than 70 seconds; Takapuna Handicap (Open), of £2l, seven miles; Sports Handicap, of £l3, five miles, for machines 600 c.c. not lapping faster than 60 seconds; Alison Handicap (Open), of £ls, six miles; Great Northern Handicap (Open), of £4l, 12 miles; Auckland Handicap, of £l9, seven miles, for machines 350 c.c; President's Handicap (Open), of £3O, ten miles; Final Handicap (Open), of £l4, five miles. •
