He is the latest of many landowners, including seven dukes, who have been forced to takr- this course by the cubing burdens of death duties and taxation-
The company will be known as Strathmore estates, and is capitalised at £139,400, divided into "74,000 preference and 65,000 ordinary shares. The directors are the Earl of Strathmore, and his heir, Lord Glamis, of the Old Hall, East Runton, Norfolk. Glamis Castle, which is one of tlie most magnificent' feudal castles in Scotland, is haunted by the famous, Glamis , family Ghost, the identity of which is known only to the Earl, his heir and the factor. The castle is full of secret rooms and passages, and is said to have been the scene of the murder of King 'Malcolm,
