Savill and Albion liner Mataroa, which will arrive at Wellington tomorrow from London and Southampton with 570 paeaengera, will sau on Monday for Auckland with the northern passengers, arriving on Wednesday Besides unloading cargo from London at Auckland the Mataroa will load a l ar se amount o£ produce before returning to Wellington. The Kartisi was to leave Wellington yesterday for, Westport to load coal for Auckland.

The "Wainui is due from Napier, Gisboroe and Tokomaru Bay to-morrow afternoon and will berth at Central- Wharf. The Katoa is to load nt Dunedin about Thursday and afterwards at Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington for Auckland.

The Kurow sailed from Dunedin on Thursday for Tiniaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on Tuesday and at Auckland nest Friday. With cargo from South Island ports, the Waipiata was to leave Wellington at four o'clock yesterday afternoon. She is due to-morrow evening or Monday morning, and will berth at Prince's Wharf. THE PORT MELBOURNE. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Melbourne, which arrived at Wellington from London on Thursday, brought the following passengers:—Miss M. Butler, Mesdames W. CARGO FROM ADELAIDE. Bringing cargo from Adelaide the Union Company s steamer Kiwitea sailed from Newcastle yesterday for Auckland. She is clue next tV©cineeday* THE KAITOKE. The Kaitoke was expected to leave Suva yesterday for Auckland. She is bringing coal from Newcastle and fruit from Fiii and is expected on Wednesday. THE TAIROA. The steamer Tairoa, which has been chartered from the Shaw, Savill and Albion Line, arrived at Montevideo from Newcastle and Sydney Inst Wednesday. THE AORANGI. The Royal Mail liner Aorangi was scheduled to reach Vancouver from Auckland yesterday. The vessel is to sail on Wednesday on the return voyage to New Zealand and Australia and is due at Auckland on January 3 and at Sydney on January 7. WINGATUI PROM MELBOURNE. From Dovonport (Tasmania) and Melbourne the Wingatui is expected at Wellington on Monday. After unloading some general cargo she will come to Auckland to complete discharge. ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parker steomer Ulimaroa was to leave Sydney yesterday and is due at Wellington on Tuesday. Next Friday she will leave Wellington on her return journey to Sydney. OMANA TO LOAD. After unloading coal and tfmber from Australia at Tauranga the Lamb steamer Omana is due back ut Auckland to-morrow. She will berth at Central Wharf to load timber for Australia. THE CANADIAN SCOTTISH. Having completed loading general cargo in New Zealand, the Canadian Scottish was despatched from Auckland for fiew York, Boston and Halifax yesterday morning. THE TURAKINA. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the departure of the Turakina has been fixed for next Thursday morning. She is loading at Queen's Wharf for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. THE OTAKI. To fill up with produce for England the New Zealand Shipping Company's eteamer Otaki is to sail at six o'clock to-morrow morning for Gisborne and Lyttelton. She i 3 to be despatched from Lyttelton for London on Decembsr 18. THE MAKAMA. The Union Company's inter-colonial steamer Marama, after being cleaned and painted in dock, berthed yesterday morning at Prince's Wharf to embark passengers. In the afternoon she sailed for Sydney. THE TONGARIRO. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tongariro is to sail this afternoon for Dunedin and Timaru to complete unloading cargo from London. Subsequently, the vessel will load produce for England at Wellington, Picton, Timaru and Port Chalmers. She is soheduled to clear Port Chalmers for London on January 7. NIAGARA AT SYDNEY. The Royal Mail liner Niagara is clue at Sydney from Auckland this morning. On the return voyage the vessel is to leave Sydney next Thursday for Auckland, Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver. She is scheduled to reach Auckland on Monday, December 20.- and will resume her voyage the following day. TAINUI FOE FINAL LOADING. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui arrived from Napier yesterday morning and berthed at Queen's Wharf to fill up with wool, dairy produce and general cargo for England. With passengers and mail she is to be despatched next Wednesday afternoon for Southampton and London, via Panama. A. S. Paterson and Company, Ltd., are the local agents. THE MAKO AND AWAHOU, The Richardson Line steamers Mako and Awahou are due from the Coast to-morrow and will berth at Central Wharf. On Tuesday evening the Mako ib to sail for East Coast bays and Napier, and the Awahou for Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne.

CANADIAN GOVERNMENT STEAMERS. i No wireless advice had been received yesterday from the Canadian Spinner, which i 3 expected from Halifax at an early dato. The cargo of general merchandise is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. Also with cargo from Halifax for the same ports in New Zealand the Canadian Planter is expected at Auckland about January 8. The local office of the Canadian Government Line has received advice that a steamer leaving Halifax in January will bring cargo for discharge at Napier, as well as the usual discharging ports. The Canadian Commander, which sailed from Auckland on November 3 for New York, Boston and Halifax, is reported to have reached New York last Wednesday. FORERIC FROM FLORIDA. The steamer Forerio arrived yesterday morning from Florida and berthed at King's Wharf to unload 6COO tons of rock phosphates. After discharge she will go to Westport for bunkers and thence to Nauru Island to load phosphates for discharge in New Zealand or Australia. Until recently the Foreric was owned by the Cunard Line, being named the Verentia. About three months ago she was sold to Messrs. Andrew Weir and Company. After coaling at Antwerp the steamer went in ballast trim to Fernandina, Florida, where she loaded t her present cargo. She sailed from Florida on November 2 and reached Colon on November 9. Next day she cleared Panama. Generally fair weather prevailed in the Pacific until last Saturday night, when she encountered a hard south-west gale and high head Beas. The storm lasted fort 24 hours. The Foreric's crow numbers 43 all told, 11 being Europeans and 32 Chinese. Captain G. Jones is in command, and the following are the officers:—Chief, Mr. A. C. Phillips; second, Mr. S. W.
