KIRIKOPUNI RAILWAY YARDS, [by telegraph,—OWN CORRESPONDENT.3 WHANGAREI. Friday. Despite the fact that there are not many workmen employe'] on the formation of the Kirikopuni railway station yards, it is reported that an early start is to he made" with the erection of the railway buildings, as most of the filling for the site has already been spread. Good weather yesterday favoured the first horticultural and industrial show to be held at Portland. Mr. W. Jones, M.P., warmly congratulated the people upon Hie fine display that had been organised. Mr. D. Forbes, president of the recentlyformed association, expressed thanks for the sentiments expressed regariUng Portland's first effort.
