YACHTING MISHAPS.

CAPSIZE OF TWO BOATS. A sudden squall capsized a 20ft. square bilge yacht in the harbour off Takapuna about mid-day yesterday. The owner, Mr. R, Stillwell, and two lady passengers wero on board. After they had been in the water about five minutes their plight was seen by Mr. J. Mason, who went to the rescue in his dinghy and brought them ashore. The party suffered little as the result of the ducking, but lost money and personal effects. The boat was later picked up by a hire launch and was 'towed to Devonport. The gear was somewhat damaged. The 12ft. 6in. one-design class boat Lai Lai capsized in the harbour on Saturday afternoon while taking part in the Takapuna Boating Club's race. The crew was picked up by a 14ft. square bilge boat and later on the Lai Lai was towed into shallow water at Bayswatei: by the 18-footer Solace.
