Mrs. D. Tole and Miss C. Tole have returned from a visit to Okoroire. Mrs. J. Coull, of Wanganui, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. E. Rawson, of Auckland, is tho guest of Sirs. T. F. Jolly, Hamilton. Miss Kathleen Dyer, of Masterton, has returned after spending a holiday' in Auckland. Mrs. F. Brooke-Taylor, who has been on a visit to Hastings, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. G. W. Hutchison, who has been on a holiday visit to Sydney, returned by the Ulimaroa. Mrs. Gill and the Misses Gill, Lochiel Road, Remuera, aro leaving for Sydney by the Niagara. Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, with her daughter, Mrs. P. Hanna, and family, are staying at Waiheke. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Stewart and Miss M. Ferguson have left on a motor tour to Rotorua and Taupo. Miss Betty Reeves, who has been spending several weeks in tho North Island, has returned to Dunedin. Mrs. Lovell-Smith, of Auckland, is visiting her parents, Mr. aud Mrs. C. J. Ronaldson, Christchurch. Nurse Wilkinson, of Hawera, is visiting Auckland and is the guest of her brother, Mr. W. Skipper, Grey Lynn. Mr. and Mrs. Moulten, of Adelaide, are staying with thoir daughter, Mrs. J. M. Stokes, Arney Road, Remuera. Mrs. McEiwain and Miss McElwain, of Haydn Avenue, One Tree Hill, have returned from a visit to England. Mrs. A. M. Lo Cren, who has been staying at the Hotel Cargen, left for Fairlie, South Canterbury, last evening. Miss Nancy Fox-Rogers, who has been in Hastings for tho Woodford House breaking-up, has returned to Auckland. Miss Richardson, daughter of General Sir George Richardson, Administrator of Samoa, will be leaving New Zealand shortly for Samoa. Mrs". Jasper Parrott has left Wellington for Na.pier, and later will come to Auckland to join her husband, PaymasterLieutenant Parrott, of H.M.S. Dunedin. Mrs. Liston Wilson and Mrs. Cecil Whitney are sailing for Sydney by the Niagara en route to England. They intend to spend some time in Egypt. Captain D. A. Vaughe.n-Philpott and Mrs. Vaufthan-Philpott, who are tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. Neville Now comb, Kohimarama, will leave by the Niagara to-morrow eu route to Kenya. The Misses G. and D. Cole, daughters of Archdeacon R. H. Cole, will arrive from England to-morrow on an extended visit to New Zealand. They are travelling by the Marama from Sydney. A very successful gift afternoon was h^d, at the residence of Dr. Greville, Ruawai, on December 1 to raise funds for the Plunket Society. There was a large attendance of members and friends, who were most generously entertained by Mrs. Greville and Mrs. Barton. The weather ■being fine visitors came from Ruawai, Raupo and the surrounding districts. Musical items and recitations were given by -Miss McMillan and a guessing competition was hold when a cake, presented by Mrs. Ross, was won by Mrs. Carey, Afternoon- . tea was dispensed by the hostesses assisted by tho young people of the district, and a very pleasant afternoon terminated by the president, Mrs; 'Bailey, proposing a vote of thanks to Mrs. Greville and Mrs. Barton, and also to all those who so generously contributed valuable and useful gifts for the Plunket fair to be held in February.
