TEASH AND IMMORALITY. REICHSTAG PASSES MEASURE. OUTCRY FROM OPPONENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received 7.35 p.m.) A. and N.Z. BERLIN, Dec. 4. The Reichstag, by 250 votes to 158, adopted a bill to check the publication of trashy and immoral books and magazines liable to exercise a prejudicial effect on German youth. Socialists and Communists declare the adoption of the bill marks a black day for German kultur. Other opponents of tho measure, including prominent writers, say they fear that works of real literary merit will be suppressed. They assert that well-known classics, and even the Bible, will be banned.
