MUNICIPAL BAND CAMPAIGN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COKRESPONDEXT.] TAUHANGA. Saturday. The Tauranga Municipal Brass Band is commencing a campaign to raise funds for the purchase of new instruments. The Tauranga South Bowling Club has completed arrangements for four competitions—championship singles, first-year players • (singles), first and second-year players (handicap singles) and handicap pairs. The Presbyterian Women's Guild held its annual garden fete this week, the opening being performed by Mr. C. E. Macmilian. M.I. Goods Were on sale at the various stalls and outdoor sports were held. The fete, which concluded with a concert in the evening, was a great success. A social organised by the .Methodist Bible Class was held this week in Wesley Hall. The prizes for the best "hard op" costumes were won by Miss S. Eagleson and 'Master ,L, Silvester.; Th*"competition prizes" were 'secured by Mrs. Christian and W. Teasey,
