RIFLE SHOOTING.

THE AKARANA CLUB. Members of the Akarana Rifle Shooting Club competed on Saturday afternoon for trophies presented by Meesirs. T. Elliott, G. G. Ashley and A. G. Devore. Ten shots were fired at the SOOyds range and seven shots at the 900 yds range. Unfavourable weather conditions resulted in scoring being of a moderate standard. The first men in each section were each awarded three trophy points, the second men two and the third men one. Silver spoons were won by Riflemen F. J. Wakefield, S. G. Scarborough and F.
