REMAND ON THEFT CHARGE. [BY UXEQEAIH.—OW» COBiIESPONDENI.] WAIHI, Saturday. ,In the Waihi Police Court this morning, Stanley Thorburn was charged with the theft at Motu of £57 16s, of which he was in possession as a postmaster in the employ of the Government. Detective Sweeney, who stated that accused had been arrested late last night at Katikati, asked for a remand to Gisborne until December 16. The remand was granted and bail was allowed accused in £IOO and one surety of £IOO. 1 .
