ALL SAINTS' JUBILEE.

THE FINAL SERVICES. SUNDAY SCHOOL REUNION. The diamond jubilee celebrations of All Saints' Church, Ponsonby, which began a week ago, were brought yesterday to'a most successful close. No fewer than 325 persohs received the Holy Communion at the early morning service, lire Archbishop was celebrant, and was assisted by Archdeacon Cherrington, Bishop-designate of Waikato, Archdeacon Simkin and the vicar, Canon Young. There was a large attendance later in the morning, when the preacher was Canon James, vicar of St. Mary's Cathedral. In the afternoon a special service for former pupils of the Sunday-school was held. This followed the order of the socalled "brigade" services arranged for tho children many years ago by the late vicar, Archdeacon Calder. Tho choir and clergy, with banners, sang a hymn in procession at the opening and again at "the close. The lesson was read by Mr. E. Smith, a former superintendent of the school. The vicar briefly welcomed the old scholars, especially those who had come long distances to attend. He asked them to remember others who through the infirmities of age or for other reasons could not be present. Included among the prayers was" one for departed scholars and parishioners. In place of the catechising, which had been the rule at such services, an address was delivered by the Rev, G. C. Cruickshank, vicar of St. Mark's, Remuera, who spoke of the changes continually occurring in all departments of life. He urged the former scholars to confirm their baptismal vows, if they had not done so—to flee from what was wrong, to believe what was true, and to do what was right. Life, said the preacher, was an extraordinarily short affair; after 40 the years seemed to gallop past. Everyone in the congregation was a dying man or woman, but the Christian, if he kept his vows, could look forward to the close of this life with courage and hope. Afterwards a reunion was held in the schoolroom, where afternoon tea was provided. The church was completely filled at the evening service, when the sermon was preaohed by Canon H. K. Archdall, headmaster of King's College. Many parishioners stood throughout, being unable to find seats.
