RADIO RECEIVING SET.

ERECTED WITHOUT LICENCE. PENALTY OF THREE POUNDS. The erection of a,wireless receiving set at" 39, Wallace Street, Herne Bay, before a. licence had been taken out, resulted in the appearance of Thomas Glanville in the Police Court yesterday. Mr. McLiver, who appeared for defendant, said the set had now been licensed. It had been erected about three weeks before the licence was taken out. The Magistrate, Mr. Hunt: Well, he cannot expect to enjoy the benefits without paying what is due for them. He should have paid his fee immediately. He will be fined £3 with costs.
