A.A.A. ACTIVITIES.

TOURING PREPARATIONS}. The service officer of the Auckland Ajutomobile Association left for the Urewera country yesterday, to inspect several summer roads about which information is scarce. It is said that the ven turesome motorist can find much of in terest in a trip in this territory. The A. A. A. will signpost the routes which are negotiable by the average driver, and the service car will probably reach the more remote parts of the district in order that information may be available foi tourists. The servico officer is working on a *le tail map of trips and camping sites reaching 40 miles north of the city. If the publication is as comprehensive as the map covering 40 miles south, it will he a valuable addition to the equipment of the motorist who is anxious to find new resorts for day trips or week ends. The A. A.A. information bureau is dealing with many touring inquiries, and itineraries are being supplied by a convenient loose-leaf system. It is possible to piece together for the toyirist a budget of information covering any route. f " i ■■
