BEAUTY - PATCHES.

Beauty-patches are returning to fashion. This is the latest way in which Miss 1926 is imitating the fashions of; her severed times great ancesljesses. But the modern girl wears her ps.tch with a difference. A pretty girl, says a writer in an English paper, the other evening, was wearing a very modern little frock of shimmering greein and silver tissue, and low on her neck at the back was placed a heart-shaped black beauty-patch. ■ The patch was alone in its glory, inasmuch as its wearer wore no jewels to detract attention from it. It is typical of modern femininity's manner of wearing a beauty-patch. Instead of fixing it on the front of her face to draw attention to the dimple in her cheek, or to enhance the beauty of her eyes, or to emphasise the curving delicacy of her chim, as did the . lady of yesterday, the woman of to day puts her patch somewhere on • the back .of her neck or shoulders,, making an ornamental device in black on the white skin.
