DAMAGES FOR PAISSEWGER, [BY TZLEGIUPH.—SREBSi A|tSOCUTXO,V. 3 WELLINGTON, Friday, ' In the Supreme Court Francis Roberts, a salesman, proceeded against the City Corporation for £3OO damages for compensation for injuries? received through the sndden steppage of a two-decker tramear on which he was a passenger. He was awarded £l2lO and costs on the lowest scale. *„ ' Mr. Justice MacCcegor ssiid the plaintiff had exaggerated the damages, but no doubt he had suffered substantial injuries, particularly to his neivous system.
