JUVENILE RECREATION.

NAPIER STREET SCHEME. USE OF OLD SCHOOL BUILDING. An application to use the old Napier Street School building fof the purpose of a community club for young people was received by the Education Board yesterday from the Auckland Flay Association. Mrs. N. E. Ferner explained that the association wished to be able to use the building until it was removed from the site or"' was used for other purposes. Masters at the school were in favour of the scheme. It was hoped to carry out a good work among the young people of the district. The chairman, Mr. A. Burns, thought the suggestion was a good one and would be of considerable use in such a congested area. It was decided to grant the association the free use of the building, subject to the approval of the School Committee.
