LORD RECTOR'S MONOCLE.
THREE THOUSAND IMITATORS. (Received 8.30 p.m.) Sun. LONDON, Nov. 3. Three thousand monoclod students attended tho installation o! Sir Austen Chamberlain as Lord Hector of the Glasgow University. " Ragging " was restricted to tho scientific manipulation of the monocle, in which even the scarletgowned young women in the front seats joined zealously. The only uproar that occurred waa when Sir Austen removed his monocle, tho students holding up the proceedings until it was replaced.
