PRESENTATIONS.
A large gathering of members of the Napier and Hastings Bar met recently to take farewell of Mr. W, Johnston, district lands registrar, who has b««n appointed to a similar position in Auckland. Sir. C. Duff, president of the Hawke's Bay District Law Society, referred to the pleasant relations which had existed between Mr. Johnston and the legal fraternity during the ten vears he had been stationed in Napier. Mr. Duff then presented Mr. Johnston with a gold watch and a cheque.
