[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU. Monday. The annual meeting of the Te Awamutn Swimming Club was well attended. Mr. S. A. Empson presided. Last year's operations were shown to havf> been very successful, and there was a fair credit balafnce. The hope was expressed that the proposed tour of the two Australian lady swimming champions would eventuate and that Te Awamutu would lie included in the itinerary. The guarantee asked for had been promised. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. L. G. Armstrong: president Mr. Empson; vice-presidents. tytessrs. A. E. Patterson, A. J. Nation end D. Mc.Arthur: secretary, Mr. G. M. Blair: treasurer. Mr. A. G. Warburton: club captain. Mr. A. .T. Tailbv; delegates to centre, Messrs. Empson and Blair; executive. Mrs. W. Wood, Misses W. WalJnce and D. Wood. Mossrs. Tailby, Adams, Wallace, Winter mid J. Coyne. It was decided to send a deputation to the Borough Council asking for seating accommodation at thosswimmins baths.
