CANADIAN RAILWAYS.
THE NATIONAL SYSTEM. INCREASE IN EARNINGS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 7.5 p.m.) MONTREAL. Oct. 27. The accounts of the Canadian National Railways, which were published to-day show the net earnings of the system for the nine months of 1926 to be £5,148,000, compared with £2,465,200 in 1925. These are the largest figures for a like period since the amalgamation, in 1922, of thcJines which form the present system.
