AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. BUSINESS BECOMES QUIETER. Business was a little quieter on tho Auckland sharemarket yesterday. In Government securities the inquiry of tho past few days was maintained, but no sales were made. In local body debentures Auckland Electric Power 'Board, 1945, per cent., were done at £97 10s. In commercial debentures New Zealand Breweries sold at 245, more being wanted at 23s lOd, sellers 24s 3d. In banks New South Wales had sale at £45. New Zealand rights were done at 6s 3d. In insurance South British changed hands at 60s, more being available at that figure. In loan and agency Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering, B preference, sold at 17s. In miscellaneous Auckland Amusement Park shares appeared on the market for the first time, offers of 20s 6d for the ordinary issue failing to attract quotations. In mining Lucky Shot, contributing, wero dono at 9d. Tho following sales .took place:—New Zealand Breweries, 245; Auckland Electric Power Board, 1945, 5j per cent., £97 10s; Bank of New South Wales, £45; Bank of New Zealand, rights, 6s 3d; South British. 60s; Farmers' Co-op.
