TO-DAY'S . WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. 11. M. Vincent last evening:—Cloudy and unsettled weather is indicated, with heavy showers, particularly in western and southern districts. Conditions will improve everywhere shortly and a fine week-end is expected, although colder. Westerly winds, strong and squally, backing to south. Seas rough, but moderating. Barometer, midnight, 29.55 in.; rising. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Present indications are for westerly to southerly winds, strong to gale, and unsettled, squally weather; rain probable generally and heavy rain in many parts, particularly in the western and southern districts; snow on the higher levels 111 the south.
