CHARGE AGAINST WOMAN. *' We have been receiving complaints for some time about this woman," said Sergeant Calwell, when Veronica Nelson appeared in answer to charges of being found drunk in Federal Street, and also to being on enclosed premises at 19, Federal Street, the property of Frederick Bird, unlawfully, bnt under circumstances that did not disclose any intention t-o commit any crime. Sergeant Calwell: She has never been before the Court before, sir. She has been drinking a lot, and has been gradually drifting into an immoral life. I should suggest remanding her in order that she may recover herself a little. The magistrate, Mr. E. C. Cutten, remanded accused until November 4 for sentence.
