SUICIDE BY DROWNING
CASE OF MRS. ARMSTRONG. The inquest concerning the death of Mrs. M. Armstrong, who was found drowned in the Martuloui Harbour kst Monday, was held yesterday before Mr. D. A. Sutherland, district coroner. Evidence of identification was given by Mrs. L. Pascoe. Last June deceased stayed with her for a few week," during j which she was not in good health and often complained of heart trouble. Miss A A. Hooper, residing in King George Avenue, Epsom, said she employed the deceased as lady help for six weeks, and last saw her oil Sunday afternoon, when she was singing hymns. She was in bad health and suffered from insomnia, while family troubles preyed 011 her mind. -She had said her hushand was' in England and that she wished she was dead. She often talked with spirits anrl sometimes appeared to be conversing with her dead daughter. When deceased left her last Sunday she understood she was going to visit a friend at Onehunga. The coroner returned a verdict of suicide by drowning, while-in a depressed state of mind.
