SUICIDE BY DROWNING

CASE OF MRS. ARMSTRONG. The inquest concerning the death of Mrs. M. Armstrong, who was found drowned in the Martuloui Harbour kst Monday, was held yesterday before Mr. D. A. Sutherland, district coroner. Evidence of identification was given by Mrs. L. Pascoe. She often talked with spirits anrl sometimes appeared to be conversing with her dead daughter. When deceased left her last Sunday she understood she was going to visit a friend at Onehunga. The coroner returned a verdict of suicide by drowning, while-in a depressed state of mind.
