IMPERIAL TRADING.
SUB-COMMITTEE MEETS. COMPILATION OF STATISTICS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 2G. The first meeting of the Economic subcommittee set up by the Imperial Conference was held to-day. The. sitting was devoted to an examination of methods of compiling statistics in use throughout the Empire. The completeness of the Commonwealth's statistic: of production anu industry is said to have impressed the members of the sub-committee. There is no idea of a complete co-ordination of the systems of statistics throughout the Empire, but rather of linking up their activities to work in with a census of production and sales.
