SPIRITUAL HEALING.

o CHURCH IN AUSTRALIA. INVESTIGATION TO BEGIN. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Oct. 27. At to-day's general sitting of the Anglican Church the Bishop of Goulbourn brought forward a motion requesting the bishops to consider the questin cf appointing a permanent committee of clergy, doctors and psychologists to advise the authorities of tho Church on various matters affecting the ministry of healing. The mover said that had such a motion appeared on the business paper of the synod three years ago it would have been scouted as an impertinence. To-day, how ever, the position was changed. The Church was realising its latent power in spiritual healing. In spite, however, of the pledge they had given some time ago to carry on the work which was started by Mr. Hickson the responsibility of the Church in that direction was not at present appreciated as earnestly as it should be. The Archbishop of Melbourne said he personally conducted regular healing ministries. On the testimonies of several doctors these were meeting with success. The motion %vas carried.
