KUMEU FARMERS.
"STOCK DRIVE" ORGANISED. The Kumeu Agricultural and Horticultural Society has organised a "stock drive," with a view to liquidating its debts. Very satisfactory entries have been received and the sale of the stock will take place in conjunction with tho regular sale at Kumeu Saleyards next Monday. The secretary oi the society reports that satisfactory entries havo been received for the butterfat competition which is being lield on November 8. In order for cows to qualify for the premier awards, it is necessary that they should be milked only twice on the day of the test, even if fhev have previously been milked three times a day, and be shown at the society's show on February 12, 1927. "
