SIR ALAN COBHAM.

An honorary fellowship of the Royal Aeronautical Society has been conferred upon Sir Alan Cobham. The tribute was paid to the airman before a gathering of 400 people, including many visitors from the Dominions. Sir Sefton Brancker, Director of Civil Aviation, said the society was considering what could be done to perpetuate the memory of Sergeant Elliott, Cobham's mechanic on the flight to Australia, who died so gloriously when reward was within his grasp.
