SCULLING.
HANNAN-MASON CONTEST. [BY TELBGRAFH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT ] WHANGAREI, Friday. The professional sculling champion of Australia and New Zealand, J. P. Hannan, of Blenheim, is training at Whangarei for his match for the New Zealand title against Jim Mason, of Whanagrei. Hannan sculls over the course, which he says he does not like owing to the bends, twice a day, wet or fine. Mason has not yet started regular training, as he believes that seven weeks is too long a preparation for him in his present condition of fitness.
