WEDDINGS.
A very-pretty -wedding took place at St. Mark's Church, Remuera, yesterday afternoon when Miss Cecily Chambers, elder daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Stanley G. Chambers, Thorley, Seaview Road. Remuera,; was married to Mr. Reginald B. Hammond, second son of the late Mr. Horace Hammond and Mrs. Hammond, Heme Bay. The Rev. G. C. Cruickshank officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of ivory georgette, embroidered in silk'' fiffisKed* ith of silver galon. Her veil of Limerick lace was caught with a circlet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, lily of the valley and sweet, peas. The bridesmaids, Miss T. Bews and Miss R. Hammond, worfe frocks of blush rose taffeta. . The shortwaisted bodices were finished with narrow ruchings stud the full skirts were embroidered with silver medallions. Their hats were of piuk crinoline straw caught up.at the back and finished at the side with large pink roses. They carried bouquets of pink -roses and carnations. Two ' dainty''; "little ,;, flow-: girls, Peggy Chambers and Mar/ Thornton Jackson, wore frocks of delphinium blue taffeta and tulle caps edged with pink and blue flowers and caught at the side with blue and pink streamers. They carried Victorian posiihs: Mr. Cecil Burgess was best man and Mr. D. Chambers groomsman. Afterwards a reception was held at Thorley, the residence of the bride's parents. . ,■
The marriage took place »i the Baetiii Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, October 12, of Gwendoline Agnes, eldest daughter of Mr. and MrS. R. Sigloy, of Grey Street, lUetihi, to Parris Ashtcn, son Of Mr. H. A. Wright, of Parapaxa and Wangiuani.' The 1 ; which was choral, w.-.s performed by the lie v. J. Baird, of" Wellington. "®e church was beautifully decorated with arum lilies and white clematis. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of ivory satin* beaute, cut in simple lines, which was decorated with sprays of pearls and orange blossoms. Her tulle veil and train, embroidered with pearls, was held in place with a coroset of orange blossoms 3nd she carried a sheaf of arum lilies. The matron of honour, Mrs. W. K. Earre, of Auckland, wore a frock of primrose shot taffeta, with flame velvet ribbon, and a wreath of small flowers to tone. She carried & bouquet of Iceland poppies and amaryllis in flame and primrose colours. The Bridesmaids, Kathleen Gardner, of Auckland, and Jean Sigley, sister of the bride, wore dainty frocks of primrosn shot taffeta and wreaths of small flowers. They carried bouquets of Iceland poppies and amaryllis. The train-bearers, Judy Sigley, sister of the bride, and Jock Gardner, of Auckland, were in primrose taffeta with flame ribbon. Mr. Lee HoneyfielJ, of Patea, acted as best man, and Wr. J. J. C. Gardner, of Auckland, and Mr. Kenneth Sigley, brother of the bride, as groomsmen.
