FALL FROM A GARAGE.
THE MAYOR OF ROTORUA. SEVERE INJURIES TO BACK. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT..] EOTOBUA, Thursday. A very serious accident happened to the Mayor of Rotorua, Mr. C. H. Clinkard, to-day. He was working at the top of his garage at about noon, when he stepped on a piece»'of scantling which broke. He fell a-distance of about 15ft. on to a concrete floor and seriously injured his back. Assistance was soon obtained, and he was conveyed to his home. On Dr. Wallis being called he onJ jred his removal to King George V. Hospital, where an X-ray examination was made. Mr. Clinkard is progressing as well as can be expected.
