TRAVELLERS STUCK IN FLOOD.
gi r< —Being one of the passengers in the Ngatea-Auckland service car I wish to draw attention to an error in the report in Wednesday's Herald. Early on Sunday morning one of the passengers succeeded in reaching the farm of Mr. Pendergrast and told him of their plight. All credit is due to him for the prompt way he brought his horses to the travellers' assistance and brought the car safely out of the rushing waters. Mr. Crockford did not arrive until late the same afternoon to tow the car back to Is gates. Traveller.
