BOUNDARIES OF FARM.
AN EXCHANGE OF PROPERTIES ACTION IN SUPREME COURT. Further evidence for the defence was heard in the Supreme Court yesterday in the action brought by Alexander James Cooper, farmer, of Woodhiil, near Helensville, for the rescission of a property exchange made with William Griffiths, retired brewer, of Auckland. The case was heard by Mr. Justice Herdman, Mr. Richmond appearing for the plaintiff and Messrs. McVeagh and Finlay for the defendant,. The plaintiff alleged that the defendant, had misrepresented the position of the boundaries and the area of sand on the property, the defence being a denial of the allegations. Ralph W. Stewart,, valuer and insurance inspector, Helensville, said that in 1923 he was a land agent at Helensville. He was present when Cooper made his inspection of the property. Witness asked Griffiths if one of the fences marked his boundary, the defendant, replying in the negative and stating that the boundary was some distance further ont in the sand, which, he remarked. was not worth fencing. The hearing was adjourned until this morning.
