AUSTRALIAN GOLFERS.

ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON. [by telegraph.--own correspondent.] WELLINGTON. Monday. A number of Australian golfers arrived by tho Tahiti to-day to take part in Now Zealand golf championships, which commence at Miramaf next Friday. Included in the party aro Mr. Hector Morrison, amateur champion of Now South Wales; Mr. Sydney Jones, captain of tho Australian Golf Council; Mr. J. N. Miller; Mr. W. A. .Windeyer, chairman of tho Now South Wales Golf Council ; Mr. A. A. Rankin, presidont of Newcastle Golf Council; Lieutenant-Colonel Clivo Steele, and Mi?. C. W. McDonald. Mr. W. Dobson, who won tho Canterbury championship last year and who was champion of Concord Club (Sydney) for five consecutive years, is in New' Zealand on business and hopes to bo available. On arrival the visitors wero mot by the vice-president of tho New Zealand Golf Council, Mr, J. B. McEwart, and other goifors. On Wednesday they will bo tho guosts of the president of tho Now Zealand Golf Council and a match will be played against members of tho council.
