SEQUEL TO COLLISION.

RAILWAY PORTER'S CLAIM. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] TAIHAPE, Monday. Judgment in favour of plaintiff was recently given by Mr. R. M. Watson, S.M., in a claim made by Archibald Edwin Grant, railway porter, of Waiourn, against a farmer of Karioi, for damages arising from a collision between defendant's motor-car and one driven by plaintiff. In the report of tho decision it was stated that in the Magistrate's opinion it had been established that plaintiff was guilty of contributory negligence. As a matter of fact, the magistrate said that in bis opinion it had not been established that palintiff was guilty of contributory neglisence.
