CYCLE ROAD RACE.
EVENT IN TARANAKI. TWO AUCKLAND RIDERS. [nV TEIiEGRAI'H. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] NEW PLYMOUTH. Monday. Fifty-nine entries from riders of all parts of tho Dominion have been recoivod for tho Taranaki cycle race around Mount F.gmont, which takes place on October 23 over a distance of about 93 miles. K. McKeiizio, an Australian rider, has nominated, but his handicap is not yet declared. The only Auckland riders are G. Hayes and A. Sutherland, who are on tho 10-minuto mark with G. Crutchley, of Wanganui. The scratch men are Watson and Lasky (Christchurch) and Parker and McCanu (New Plymouth).
