AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS.

BOY HURT ! N COLLISION. As a result of colliding with a motor car while riding a bicycle in Glenfield Road, Birkenhead, last evening, George Wheeler, aged 14, residing in Glenfield Road, was knocked down, receiving scalp wounds. As far as could be ascertained ho also sustained a fractured jawbone. The boy was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital and bis condition at u late liour was stated to be fairly satisfactory. Injuries lo the left shoulder were sustained by Mr. Hugh Glover, storeman, aged, 25, of 12, Emma Street, Dominion Koad. through falling down some steps while at work. He was admitted to tiie hospital at 11 o'clock yesterday morning and last evening was reported to be fairly comfortable. .A painful accident befel Mr. Charles James Goodwin, aged 39, of 20, Coyle Street, Mount Albert, yesterday morning while cutting timber with a circular saw on the premises of Mr. G. W. Read, cabinetmaker, 67, Great North Road. A heavy piece of timber was caught by the saw and was thrown endways, hitting Mr. Goodwin and fracturing some. ribs. Mr. Goodwin was removed to the hospital and will undergo an X-ray examination this morning. His condition is not serious.
