PREMIUMS FOR CHEESE.
REARRANGEMENT OF RATES. A new arangem-ont has been decided on by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board in connection with the premiums being given by it on " finest " cheese and for making coloured cheese. Under the original arrangement the premium on "finest" cheese was -|d per'lb. and for making coloured cheese 4d per cwt. It was felt that the work entailed in arranging for this cotild be considerably reduced if these premiums were made at a rate per crate. The Board decided at its meeting last week that until further notice the premium for " finest " cheese should be 3s 4d per crate and for making coloured cheese 6d per crate. The actual premiums are practically the same as originally arranged.
