LOSSES AMONG LAMBS.
MYSTERIOUS EPIDEMIC. FLOCKS IN NORTH OTAGO. FRUITLESS INVESTIGATIONS. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] DUNEDIN. Friday. . A strange and disastrous epidemic is causing great, havoc in the flocks of young lambs in North Otago, where flockmasters have lost as many as 50 and 60 lambs. The trouble has baffled local veterinary surgeons and the deaths continue. The Stock Department officials in the district have investigated with do result, in consequence of which further expert aid is sought from headquarters in Wellington.
