Here's something thatproves the utter fallacy of such statements. 15,000 miles in fifteen months, between the King Country and the Far North. Let him tell his own story:— " Motoring throughout New Zealand between Bluff and North Cape has been my experience for the past seven years, and I have no hesitation in saying that no part of the Dominion compares with my present territory for severe tests of a car's reliability and endurance. . . Between the King Country and Awanui during the past fifteen months I have used a Morris-Cowley 4-seater continually, day after day, wet or fine, in mud or dust—l am not a fir-te weather tourist, nor yet a good road artist. During this period I have travelled 15,000 miles in my Cowley, and have encountered the roads .at their worst. For those who know the King Country between Te Kuiti, Aria, etc., I need not describe the conditions. Other trips have taken me from Te Kuiti to Taupo, on to Putaruru and Rotorua, across the Kaimais and Bay of Plenty, to Tauranga, Waihi, Raglan, Te Akau, Glen Murray, and scores of other places south of Auckland. Northwards I have been fiVe times between Auckland and Whangarei on the East Coast road during the past year; also to Matakana, Whangaripo, Wellsford, Port Albert, Dargaville, Mangawai and Waipu. These journeys have been made in all weathers, travelling at all hours, day and night. . . . Some of my on the road have pleasant memories of these northern trips particularly, and, I am quite sure, are prepared to give honour to the British workmanship of the Morris-Cowley. . . Working about Whangarei on such roads as the Heads, Whananaki, Helena Bay, Matapere, Tawai, Kawakawa, Kaeo and Whangaroa when it has been a case of mud navigation, I have had chains on for days at a stretch. In mud, and in sand such as is found between Manganui and also about Rotorua, Tarawera and portions of Bay of Plenty, the Morris-Cowley steers splendidly and its driving power is wonderful. . . . With clearance and narrow track I have had absolutely no trouble at all, and, as I have already stated, I have travelled all kinds of roads at their worst as well as at their best. . . For economy in petrol, tyres and oil my car has easily kept to the Morris Guarantee . . . My average petrol consumption for the 15,000 miles was 32 miles per gallon; and 10,000 miles to a gallon of oil." Name supplied upon request. m [muliA] Morris Cars are built to stand the stress and strain of the worst road conditions. There isn't a better car at the price, or anything like the price, than a Morris-Cow-ley. And in the highest priced car in the world there are no better materials than those that are used in the mechanical construction of the various Morris models. These are facts. What " they " say is mostly inspired by the desire to push foreign cars in preference to British. Ring 42-888 and ask for a Demonstration Run, or write for Illustrated Catalogue.
