WAR DEBT AGREEMENTS
POSITION OF FRANCE. MOVE BY THE PREMIER. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. Oct. 7. The Paris correspondent of the Morning Post says it is reported that the Premier, M. Poincare, has decided to ask Parliament to ratify the British and American debt agreements. This would be on the condition that the payments received from Germany under tho Dawes plan arc sufficient to meet periodic payments.
If the payments from Germany fail, an intimation will be given that the French Treasury is not in the position at the moment to meet its foreign obligations.
