BOTH LEGS FRACTURED.
TIMBER MILL ACCIDENT. BREAKING OF A HAWSER. VICTIM'S CONDITION SERIOUS. [BT TBLEGBAFH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT, j HAMILTON, Thursday. A serious accident occurred at fylr. C. T. Tuck's pinus insignis timber mill at Newstead, near Hamilton, to-day, when a mill employee, Michael O'KSefe, of 44, Lake Road, Frankton, had both his legs broken. A log was being hauled to the mill by means of a winch when the wire hawser attached to it snapped. One piece of the rope swung back and caught Mr. O'Keefe on the legs, breaking both limbs., Mr. O'Keefe was sent to the Waikato HospitaL He is a married man, 37 years of age, with three children. His condition is serious.
