WAIHI COMPANY'S RETURN. OPERATIONS FOR THE MONTH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAIHI, Thursday. The following information has been cabled by tho Waihi Gold Mining Company to tho head office in London: —For the period ended September 25, 17,310 tons of ore wero crushed for a result of 5611 fine ounces of gold and 39,387 fino ounces of silver. -Included in this is 124 tons from the Waihi Grand Junction Company, yielding 24 fine ounces of gold and 111 fine ounces of silver. No. 7 Level, Royal Lode.—Driving east, tho next Oft. assays 17s 6d a ton. Work has been stopped. No. 8 level, North Leader: .Driving east, tho next 40ft. assays 17s 6d a ton. The width of tho ricf is about 2ft. No. 10 level, Shark North-west crosscut: Tho next 12ft. is country rock, the next Gin. quartz, the next 4ft. country rock, tho next 6in. quajtz, tho next 10ft. country rock and tho next lift, mixture of quartz and country, all of low value. The course of the crosscut has been altered to 325 degrees. Edward cross lode: Driving south the next 14ft. assays 4s a ton. At 1760 ft, the total width of the lode is 15ft. and is quartz with bands of country rock. Tho assay value is 3s a ton. No. 11 level, Martha lodo east: The next 29ft. of driving assays 34s 3d a ton. In the crosscut at 172 ft. the last 4ft. is a mixture of quartz and country, assaying 7s a ton. No. 12 level, south-east, prospecting crosscut, situated 27ft. east of Graham's Pass on Empire lodo: At 58ft. in cut a lodo 6ft. wide. Tho assay value is 2s 3d a ton. No. 13 level, Empire lode: Driving west the next 54ft. assays 26s 3d a ton. No. 14 level, Edward lode: Driving south the next 18ft. assays 7s 6d a ton.
