TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast "for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening:— Cloudy and unsettled weather is indicated, with further rain over most of the Dominion. ' Northerly winds, freshening, and increasing strong to gale. Seas rough. A westerly storm is approaching from the Tasman Sea. Barometor, midnight, 29.79 in.; rising. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —Present indications are for increasing north-westerly to south-westerly winds. Stormy weather, with rain probable generally and heavy on the west coast and southern districts. The barometer is falling everywhere. RAINFALL RECORD.
