NORTHCOTE HIGH SCHOOL
Tho addition of two representatives of parents on the management of tho Northcoto Junior High School has' been recommended by the committee. It is suggested the representatives should lie elected in a similar manner as obtains at Kowhai.
Application is being made to the Education Board for tho portable classrooms at present in use at Northcote primary school, in view of tho increased attendance anticipated in the ensuing year. The committee has deferred consideration of a suggestion from the Education Department that the house adjoining tho school might be used as a lady teacher's hostel, where girls could be taught domestic science, conditional on tho hostel being self-supporting.
